Chase Dietz Kicks-Off Season with Seventh Place Finish During Lincoln’s Icebreaker

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

YORK, Pa. (February 29, 2016) – Chase Dietz wheeled his Scott Gobrecht-owned, Golf Cart Services, Bad Boy Buggies, ServiceMaster Clean Janitorial Service of York and Lancaster, Gettysburg Rental Company, No. 44 to a top-ten finish on Sunday afternoon, February 28, officially launching his 2016 Central Pennsylvania campaign. The 410 sprint car sophomore started ninth during the 30-lap, $4,000-to-win Icebreaker 30 main event, advancing two positions by feature end to finish seventh, officially. Dietz kicked-off the afternoon program with a third place finish during heat race competition, ultimately resulting in a fifth row starting position after the feature redraw.

“Happy to start the new year inside the top-ten” Chase Dietz said, “The car felt pretty good all day and we were able to show a lot of speed. We raced as high as sixth, but lost a spot during the last restart. Regardless, it was fun afternoon and a near perfect way to start the season. I just want to thank Scott Gobrecht and my entire team for what they do for me. We plan to come back next Saturday and work to repeat success.”

Chase Dietz will return to competition this Saturday afternoon, March 5, back at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. The third generation racer and former Lincoln Speedway 358 track champion has one career 410 victory in the Pigeon Hills.

“We have a game plan now and that feels good” Dietz explained, “Our goal was to start the year with a solid finish and have a head start at figuring out our race car. I think we are on the right track for another win soon.”
