FREMONT, Ohio (July 1, 2019) – The ‘Texas Traveler’ T.J. Michael put together a pair of solid performances during the recent weekend, eventually concluding his two-race schedule with back-to-back top-ten finishes, highlighting each of his results with a bump from 13th to finish seventh during Attica/Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) competition at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, June 28.

Although falling short of matching his Friday night performance by one position, Michael’s visit to Sharon Speedway on Saturday, June 29, also resulted in success, maintaining a position inside the top-ten to finish eighth at the final checkers; Michael started third on the grid.

Michael has been strong at Sharon Speedway thus far this season, and although far from a regular competitor at the Hartford, Ohio, oval, Michael owns two top-ten finishes in 2019.

“It was nice to put together a pair of solid finishes. Starting that far forward at Sharon put us in a position to possibly contend for the win. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out that way. We’ll do what we can to improve for our next visit,” T.J. Michael explained, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Architectural Stone/Crown Battery/Fremont Fence Company/Pro-Tech Services/Wood Heating and Air Conditioning/Kear’s Speed Shop/Wings Unlimited/Soul Fully Rooted/Big D’s Pizza/No. 8M sprint car. “We have a lot coming up this week, so we’ll turn our attention forward and try again at Attica and Fremont.”

Michael and Michael Motorsports will return to competition on Friday and Saturday, July 5 & 6, with visits to Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway, respectively. Each event will accumulate points toward the Attica/Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) point fund.

In addition, Crown Battery, a proud supporter of T.J. Michael and the Michael Motorsports No. 8M sprint car, will be sponsoring the events at Fremont Speedway on Saturday evening.

“We had a few options on our plate for Saturday, but we knew we wanted to be at Fremont,” Michael continued. “We are proud to have Crown Battery associated with our team, and I’m proud to enter any event that Crown Battery supports. We appreciate all that they do for our race team, as well as sprint car racing in general.”
