Zearfoss experiences up and down weekend in Pevely; Indiana doubleheader next

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (April 5, 2021) – Battling with the Greatest Show On Dirt on the highbanks of Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri, stirred some up and down results for Jonestown, Pennsylvania’s Brock Zearfoss, and although the 2021 Rookie of the Year contender missed the top-ten during each night of the two-day showstopper, Zearfoss acquired valuable lap time and found success in his own right, highlighting the weekend with a 12th-place score on Friday.

A top-12 end result, Zearfoss, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., BAPS Auto Paints & Supply, Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car, was a force during all of Friday’s program, timing eighth overall during qualifying time trials then finishing third during his respective heat race.

Unfortunately, a crash during Zearfoss’ respective Saturday night heat race led the “Jonestown Jet” to the evening’s Last Chance Showdown. A final corner pass for the transfer would propel Zearfoss to the main event; he would drive ahead from 24th to finish 16th.

“I-55 is a lot of fun. Things happen in a hurry, so being on your toes is vital,” Brock Zerafoss said, who owns one World of Outlaws victory, as well as a Port Royal Speedway championship. “I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work and dedication. Even when things got upside-down on Saturday, they never quit and worked through it. Their hard work pays off and I’m proud to have them with me out here on the road.”

Brock Zearfoss and the World of Outlaws will return to competition with a two-day stay in the Hoosier State, first taking aim at Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana, on Friday, April 9, followed by a stop at the always-exciting Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana, on Saturday, April 10. The “Jonestown Jet” will enter the weekend with three World of Outlaws top-ten finishes on the season.

Danny Dietrich shares podium with brother at Lincoln; Four races on tap beginning Tuesday at Bridgeport

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 5, 2021) – It was nearly an all-Dietrich podium on Saturday evening at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway, as “Double-D” Danny Dietrich secured his sixth top-five result of the season with a runner-up finish to his brother, Billy Dietrich, during a $4,000-to-win barnburner. Action-packed, to say the least, the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania-native lined up third on the feature grid, faded slightly to fifth, then made a final lunge for the top spot in the final circuits. Close, but not close enough, the Dietrich brothers were separated by just over a second.

“That was fun. Hats off to Bill (Dietrich) and his entire team. Anytime you have the opportunity to race with family is pretty special. We’ll take this second place finish and move on to the next one,” Danny Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, Graver’s Garage, Racer’s New & Used Parts Warehouse, East Park Automotive Inc., RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance Automotive Inc., Bollinger Construction, Blud Lubricants, No. 48 sprint car. “We have a big weekend ahead of us, so we’ll button up things tonight and get things rolling at Bridgeport tomorrow.”

After securing second with eight to go, Dietrich was on the move, desperately working every inch of Lincoln Speedway real estate to get by his older brother. A slider with less than five to go proved to be Dietrich’s last-ditch effort, but the effort was not enough, as Billy drove on to secure a third-ever win in the Pigeon Hills.

Danny Dietrich kicked-off his showing at Lincoln with a heat race victory.

Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with a four-race stint through New Jersey and Pennsylvania during the coming week, beginning with a $5,000-to-win showstopper at Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, New Jersey, on Tuesday, April 6. Dietrich’s schedule will resume on Friday, April 9, with the first of three consecutive events; Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, followed by his return to Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, then BAPS Motor Speedway to conclude action on Sunday.

A one-time winner thus far in 2021, Dietrich will enter Bridgeport’s gates with a load of confidence, as the 2020 Central PA Sprint Cars Point Series champion secured a World of Outlaws victory at Bridgeport in 2019.

Schatz battles through tough luck at I-55; Kokomo and Tri-State ahead on April 9-10

Dates: Friday and Saturday, April 2-3
Event: Outlaws Invasion of I-55
Series: World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series
Track: Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri)
Donny Schatz A-Main Finishes (Start):
Friday: 20th (2nd)
Saturday: 11th (17th)

2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Sixth | 1476 points [122 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (April 5, 2021) – It was a rollercoaster weekend on the highbanks of Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 for Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, but despite a freak mechanical hiccup on Friday that negated a potential victory for the ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Schatz persevered, as most champions do, and rebounded for a six-position charge and an eleventh-place score on Saturday.

A heavy favorite from the outside-front row, Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Carquest Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Sage Fruit/Digital Ally/Advance Auto Parts/Rush Truck Centers/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/J&J Auto Racing/No. 15 sprint car, was well on his way to a 300th-career WoO victory on Friday night when the mechanical hiccup occurred, ultimately leading the first 17 laps of the 40-lap contest when a heim joint malfunction from under the hood forced the Fargo, North Dakota-native to go pit-side. Schatz attempted to rejoin the field, but the heim issue, a rarity, proved to be terminal; Schatz was scored 20th.

Weekend preliminary results included a heat race victory on Friday, setting the tone for his eventual dash runner-up finish and his 17-lap campaign at the front. A sixth-place finish during heat race competition on Saturday forced Schatz to settle with 17th on the starting grid.

Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2021 World of Outlaws campaign with a two-day trek through the Hoosier State, first taking aim at Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana, on Friday, April 9, followed by a stop at the always-exciting Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana, on Saturday, April 10.

Despite a “DNF” on his recent scorecard, Schatz will enter the weekend sixth in the current WoO championship standings padded by six top-five finishes in 11 Series starts. Still on the hunt for that elusive milestone victory, a win during action at Kokomo on Friday evening would solidify Schatz in the record books as a 300-time main event winner with the Greatest Show On Dirt.

Schatz’ most recent trip to World of Outlaws victory lane occurred during Williams Grove Speedway’s annual National Open on October 3, 2021, nailing down a $75,000 payday in the process.

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

VINCENTOWN, N.J. (March 29, 2021) – Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports are working hard to find their stride in Pennsylvania Posse Country, and although recent results may suggest otherwise – highlighting last weekend with a 17th-place score at the tough-to-tame Williams Grove Speedway – Whittall is finding many underlying positives in his results and remains excited for some of the year’s biggest events.

Zearfoss 14th at Lake Ozark; Pevely double next on WoO agenda

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (March 29, 2021) – Despite Brock Zearfoss’ Saturday night visit to Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri, ending just short of his fourth top-ten with the Greatest Show On Dirt, the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native displayed an ample amount of perseverance, eventually translating a Last Chance Showdown victory into a 14th-place outcome during the third running of the annual Jason Johnson Classic. Without saying, Zearfoss’ overall potential was cut short right from the start, as the 41-lap program was eventually sliced down to 30 circuits, the result of weather-induced track conditions.

Zearfoss, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., BAPS Auto Paints & Supply, Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car, was forced to compete in the evening’s Last Chance Showdown after an eighth-place score during his respective heat race. The “Jonestown Jet” went on to win the consolation program which allowed the World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year contender to line up 19th on the grid.

“I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work. It’s not easy being out here on the road. They keep digging and it makes my job a lot easier,” Brock Zearfoss said, who owns one World of Outlaws victory over the course of his career. “Having the opportunity to race with the best in the world every single night is what I’ve been working toward my entire career. To be out here doing it is pretty unbelievable. All we can do is try our best to keep learning and progress up the ladder. It’s not going to be easy, but we love the challenge.”

Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their quest toward World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year honors with a two-day stop on the highbanks of Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri, on Friday and Saturday, April 2-3. The two-day invasion will feature two, full shows awarding $10,000 each.

Dietrich advances 21 positions in two days during visits to Williams Grove and Port Royal

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (March 29, 2021) – In terms of final results, it was a successful weekend for Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, but the path toward success was long and strenuous.

Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, Graver’s Garage, No. 48 sprint car, earned a top-ten and podium, respectively, during his weekend in Pennsylvania Posse Country, kicking things off on Friday night with an impressive rally from 24th to finish ninth at Williams Grove Speedway.

Illustrious on paper, Dietrich was actually forced to buy his main event starting position after failing to transfer through the evening’s consolation race. Brake malfunctions were the culprit, but last minute negotiations with the consolation’s sixth-place finisher allowed Dietrich to make the 25-lap finale.

A much smoother path toward success on Saturday night at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace,” Dietrich turned a fifth row starting position into a podium result, ultimately climbing six spots to finish third, keeping a fast-closing Logan Wagner at bay in the final circuits.

“Double-D” was scheduled to visit Selinsgrove Speedway for “March Madness” action on Sunday, March 28, but Mother Nature ruined plans before they could begin.

“That just goes to show why working with a team that refuses to give up is so important,” Danny Dietrich said, who owns one victory in Central Pennsylvania thus far in 2021. “We couldn’t catch a break on Friday. Every time we thought things may go our way, they didn’t. But, we were able to turn a rough situation into something good and I’m proud we were able to do that. We’ll do our best to start fresh on Friday and try to get through the program a little smoother.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with an Easter weekend double, first returning to the famed Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, followed by a Saturday destination that has yet to be determined. Like weeks prior, Williams Grove Speedway will award a $5,500 payday.

Michael grabs $5,500 payday during 2021 FAST Series lidlifter

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FREMONT, Ohio (March 29, 2021) – For the second time in his career, and for the second time at Waynesfield Raceway Park, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael is a FAST Series main event winner, doing so during the 2021 FAST season lidlifter on Saturday, March 27. The $5,500 payday is now the richest score of Michael’s career, just surpassing his 2019 Rick Ferkel Classic win total that equaled $5,000.

Utilizing a front row starting position to set the tone for his feature performance, Michael drove on to secure a competitive pace, battling head-to-head with Gary Taylor for the first circuit before taking a backseat to the Seeling No. 97 on lap two. Lockbourne’s Cole Duncan was the next to make a move, using traffic to sneak around Michael and Taylor to take command on lap ten. It would not take long for Michael to repeat Duncan’s actions, eventually following Duncan by Taylor to reclaim second on lap 13.

Just three circuits later, Michael was in control, taking advantage of Duncan’s misfortune while the former FAST champ attempted to navigate by a slower car. Duncan’s spin allowed Michael to inherit the top spot, and that is where the Texan stayed, eventually withstanding a last-ditch effort maneuver by Taylor during a restart with one lap remaining.

“What a night for this team. We spent a few weeks out on the road with the World of Outlaws and basically got our butts kicked. But nights like this prove why racing with that level of competition is so important. You can learn so much from racing the World of Outlaws and this win justifies that,” Michael said, driver of the Michael Motorsports, Advanced Architectural Stone, Crown Battery, Fremont Fence Company, Pro-Tech Services, Wood Heating and Air Conditioning, Kistler Racing Engines, Elite Wings, Big D’s Pizza, Viva Los Healthy, M&L Graphics, HP Striping and Seal Coating, No. 8M sprint car. “The plan is to head into the All Star points opener at Attica on Friday and maintain this level of momentum. It’s going to be a big night and we are excited to do it again.”

T.J. Michael and Michael Motorsports will continue their 2021 campaign with a two-night stay at the always-racey Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday, April 2-3, officially launching the 2021 All Star points championship. The two-day Spring Nationals program will feature two, full shows awarding a total winner’s share equalling $11,000; $5,000 on Friday and $6,000 on Saturday.
